We offer a broad range of experience in qualitative methods,
including in-depth interviews with key informants, group interviews, executive
interviews, on-site participant observation/case studies, and focus groups.
Below are brief descriptions of some recent projects
we have conducted including these methods for
government and private sector clients:
- Qualitative research
for the process component of the evaluation of Healthy
Babies, Healthy Children, a two-year evaluation for the Ontario
Ministy of Health and Long-Term Care. The process evaluation decides
how the program worked in each health unit. To deepen our understanding
of the implementation and operation of HBHC, the evaluation also conducted
in-depth studies of the program in 12 health units.
- Qualitative research to evaluate the Maternal
and Newborn Health Promotion Program for the Ministry of Health,
Health Promotions Branch, a five-year evaluation of a community-based
health demonstration program to reduce the incidence of low weight births.
- Qualitative research to evaluate the Ontario
Healthy Communities Coalition Initiative.
- Qualitative research to evaluate the Ottawa-Carleton
Regional Violence and Youth Initiative.
- Qualitative research to examine market responses to
a proposed telecommunications service.
- Qualitative research to determine the impact of office
automation demonstrations on the productivity, work habits, and attitudes
of employees.
- Qualitative research to develop the survey items for
a customer satisfaction study for a telecommunications provider.
- Qualitative research to explore the factors that motivate
people to donate to charities, Increasing Donor Revenues.
- Qualitative research to develop a set of indicators
to describe the education system in Ontario.
