TNS Express Multi-Q

Multi-Q is our quarterly survey of the Canadian Family Opinion mail panel. Over 65,000 individuals in approximately 23,000 households complete the survey, making it an ideal tool for finding hard-to-find populations. For example, if you are interested in finding out something about people who only represent 1% of the population, you will find 500 of them using TNS Express Multi-Q.

You can also identify certain populations for follow-up interviewing.

Sampling

The Canadian Family Opinion mail panel is a randomly recruited panel of households that have agreed to participate in research from time to time. They are not professional respondents and have not been collected through subscription lists.

To ensure representativeness, a multi-stage weighting scheme is applied to correct for regional disproportionality and differential response rates.

Interviewing

Self completion questionnaires are mailed four times a year. Because households are members of a pre-recruited panel, a consistently high response rate is achieved; close to three-quarters of questionnaires are returned.

Timing

All questionnaires are scanned using TNS Canadian Facts' sophisticated and customized scanning technology. This allows us to provide full tabular results six weeks from the mail out date.

Pricing

Pricing is based on a low, cost per question basis, and there is a small incremental charge for open-ended questions.
